Splash Awards 2008 - XChallenge Finalist

The Organising Committee for Splash Awards 2008 would like to apologise for the delay in releasing the results due to the overwhelming submissions we had received during the competition. We seek your patience and understanding in this matter.

The judge's decision in the finalist and results are final. The results of the competition will be made known during the Prize Presentation Ceremony on Thursday, 26 June 2008. Please see below for details:

About XChallenge - Creating a Substainable Environment

The Splash Awards 2008 - XChallenge is a 12-hour all-rounder competition which challenges the students to use technology to solve one of the world's toughest challenges - Creating a Sustainable Environment. In Particular, XChallenge will focus on Web 2.0 technologies including the usage of various Web Services and APIs to create "mash-ups" with an environmental focus. Student teams will be presented with a variety of technical and physical challenges in order to determine who will be crowned the XChallenge Champion.

The Competition is open to group up to three students in the following three contest categories of participation:

• Institute of Technical Education/Institute of Higher Learning
  

  Students currently enrolled in full-time courses in any polytechnic, universities, ITEs or equivalent educational institutions recognized by the Organisers.

• Junior College
  

  Students currently enrolled in local junior colleges.

• Secondary School
  

  Students currently enrolled in local secondary schools.
