Introduction

Splash Awards 2008 – XChallenge Creating a Sustainable Environment is a 12-hour iron-coder competition which challenges the students to use technology to solve one of the world's toughest challenges - Creating a Sustainable Environment. In particular, XChallenge will focus on Web 2.0 technologies including the usage of various Web Services and APIs to create "mash-ups" with an environmental focus. Student teams will be presented with a variety of technical and physical challenges in oder to determin who will be crowned the XChallege Champion.

The competition is open to all students ranging from secondary to tertiary institutions. The competition will be held on 26 Apr 2008 in Singapore Management University.
