1. What is this Splash Awards '08 - XChallenge Creating a Sustainable Environment about?
Answer: Splash Awards 2007 – Designing the Future of Infocomm is an on-site 12-hour iron-coder competition which challenges the students to use technology to solve one of the world’s toughest challenges - Creating a Sustainable Environment.
2. What is the objective of the competition?
Answer: The main objective of this challenge is to introduce students to building next generation applications utilizing Software-Plus-Services paradigm and challenging them to implement mash-up solutions consisting of Web 2.0 technologies, APIs, Web Services, etc.
3. Is there any fee incurred for joining the competition?
Answer: No. Payment is not required. However, all registration are subjected to confirmation email.
4. Who can take part in the competition?
Answer: This competition is open to all students ranging ranging from secondary to tertiary institutions as well as private design schools. Teams are to consist of members from the same school or institution. The competition will be launched on 21 May 2008 and end in August 2008.

7. Will training be provided?
Answer: Yes, students will be provided with trainings from training partners and Microsoft. Kindly check splashaward.com for updates on training.
8. Can i participate the competition remotely from home or school?
Answer: No, students are required to be on-site at Singapore Management University on 26th Apr 2008 to participate in this competition.
9. Am i allowed to seek help online?
Answer: Yes, students are encouraged to look for examples and tutorial from the Internet on the competition day itself.
10. What do i have to bring?
Answer: Participants are required to bring a WIFI enabled laptop computer complete with charge and batteries. Kindly check the rules and regulation page for the complete list.
